AfroVibe Child Safety Standards

AfroVibe Dating is an adults-only dating service intended for users aged 18 and over. AfroVibe has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is prohibited.

Prohibited conduct

AfroVibe prohibits any content, behaviour, or activity involving:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
  • Sexual exploitation of children.
  • Grooming or attempting to groom a minor.
  • Sexualisation of minors.
  • Sextortion involving minors.
  • Solicitation of sexual content from minors.
  • Sharing, requesting, creating, possessing, or distributing sexual content involving minors.
  • Arranging or facilitating sexual contact with minors.
  • Child trafficking or exploitation.
  • Impersonating a minor for exploitative purposes.
  • Encouraging or normalising sexual activity involving minors.
  • Any other conduct that violates applicable child safety laws.

Adults-only platform

AfroVibe is for users aged 18 years and older. Date of birth is required during profile onboarding, and accounts that do not meet the 18+ requirement are not eligible to use dating features.

Users who are discovered to be under 18, or who misrepresent their age in order to access AfroVibe, may have their accounts suspended or removed.

Reporting child safety concerns

Users can report accounts, profiles, photos, messages, or other activity that may involve child safety concerns through AfroVibe’s in-app reporting tools. Reports can also be submitted through the public report form.

Urgent concerns involving immediate danger should be reported to appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement authorities.

Enforcement

AfroVibe reviews reports and may take action appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law.

  • Remove prohibited content.
  • Restrict or suspend accounts.
  • Permanently ban accounts.
  • Preserve relevant records where legally permitted or required.
  • Investigate reports.
  • Cooperate with lawful requests from appropriate authorities.

CSAM response

When AfroVibe becomes aware of apparent CSAM or credible child sexual exploitation concerns, AfroVibe will take appropriate action consistent with applicable law, which may include:

  • Removing access to prohibited content.
  • Suspending or terminating involved accounts.
  • Preserving relevant evidence where legally permitted.
  • Reporting to appropriate authorities or designated child protection bodies where required by law.

Cooperation with authorities

AfroVibe complies with applicable child safety laws and responds to valid lawful requests from competent authorities.

Privacy and data handling
