AfroVibe is a growing dating platform for Africans, the diaspora, and people open to connections across cultures. Available on the web and Android, our mission is to help people date with intention. Work directly with the founder to create content, test campaigns with a limited budget, and build an active community.
Marketing strategy and growth
- Develop a practical marketing plan with clear priorities, budgets and measurable goals.
- Identify promising audiences and locations where we can build an active dating community.
- Improve the journey from discovering AfroVibe to registering, completing a profile and returning.
Content and social media
- Create engaging short videos, social posts, carousels and campaign copy.
- Manage a consistent content calendar across relevant platforms.
- Develop founder-led stories, product demonstrations and useful dating content.
- Respond to comments and enquiries professionally.
Paid campaigns
- Plan small-budget advertising tests on suitable platforms, checking their advertising requirements first.
- Monitor spending, test creative variations and stop ineffective campaigns.
- Keep advertising spend separate from salary and creator fees.
Community, creators and partnerships
- Identify relevant creators, communities and potential partners.
- Propose collaborations with clear deliverables and costs.
- Build relationships through respectful outreach and approved community participation.
- Coordinate publicity opportunities that support our growth goals.
Blog, email and retention
- Plan useful blog articles and distribute them through social channels.
- Create email campaigns that encourage members to complete profiles and return.
- Suggest improvements to messaging and landing pages based on audience feedback.
Measurement
- Track campaign visits, registrations, completed profiles and returning members where measurement is available.
- Distinguish link clicks from completed registrations.
- Provide a weekly report covering spending, results, lessons and next steps.
- Work with the founder to identify gaps in tracking.
